Organizational Agility
A major focus in 2024 was updating our employment strategy by growing our talent pipelines and enhancing the candidate experience. We dedicated ourselves to ensuring that we’re nimble and remain a place where everyone can bring their full selves to work.
We developed and launched a new Paid Family Leave program and enhanced our Short- and Long-Term Disability benefits programs, which bolstered our attraction and retention strategy.

Lineworker Scholarship Program: Training for the future |
In the new talent arena, we hired 27 summer interns, growing our internship program by 40%. We also expanded our workforce training, with a heightened focus on skilled trades for people from historically under-resourced communities. Our workforce programs help ensure there is a diverse and qualified labor pool to meet our regional zero-carbon goals; and that our 2030 Zero Carbon Plan is growing our economy equitably.
A great example of these efforts is the Lineworker Scholarship Program, launched in partnership with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). As a scholarship training program to help members of our community from under-resourced areas compete for lineworker jobs, this program has amplified the talent pool for our team of lineworkers.
We focused on delivering innovative solutions for our customers and community to support our transition to a clean energy future, including completing the Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) Phase 2 and 3 functionality development. This will enable controls for DERs such as batteries, photovoltaics (PVs) and third-party aggregators.
