Community sponsorships

We’re proud to celebrate over 70 years of giving back to the community we serve by supporting efforts to improve the quality of life in our region.

Our sponsorship program accepts applications year round. We support hundreds of community events and initiatives each year! Sponsorships can range from SMUD event participation and in-kind donations to a financial sponsorship (generally not exceeding $2,500). Unlike a community foundation or other funding source, we are governed by the Municipal Utility District Act and Community Sponsorships are meant to promote the customer benefits of our programs and services.
