We made great strides in 2025 with our 2030 Zero Carbon Plan, continuing to expand our clean technology portfolio with renewable energy and storage projects. We stayed true to our purpose: improving the quality of life for all our customers and community, while maintaining our guardrails of low rates and safe, reliable service. 2025 was a year of remarkable progress and resilience for SMUD, as we continue toward a zero-carbon future for all.

SMUD customers continue to receive low-cost power with rates more than 50% below those of our neighboring investor-owned utility and among the lowest in California. This kept about $1.8 billion in our community in 2025.
