- Home Aid Sacramento: HomeAid builds and maintains housing and programmatic facilities for reputable nonprofit organizations and public institutions.
- SHRA, Emergency Home Repair program: Apply from June 1 – August 31 and from December 1 – February 28.
- Community Resource Project: Offers free weatherization services.
- City of Folsom: Seniors Helping Seniors: Minor and major home repairs.
- City of Citrus Heights: Home repair loans and grants programs.
- Leak-Free Sacramento: Free water leak repair from the City of Sacramento.
- USDA Home Repair: Single Family Housing Repair Loans & Grants | Rural Development (usda.gov): Provides loans or grants to elderly and/or income eligible homeowners to repair, improve or modernize their homes.
First-time homebuyers & Rental assistance
- Habitat for Humanity: Future Habitat homeowners are active participants in the homebuilding and home buying process.
- Citrus Heights First-Time Homebuyer Program: Assistance with financing the down payment, you may be eligible for a low-interest loan through this program.
- USDA First Time Homebuyer Program: Single Family Housing Direct Home Loans | Rural Development (usda.gov): Assist income eligible applicants obtain decent, safe and sanitary housing in eligible rural areas by providing payment assistance.
- AffordableHousing.com - Affordable Houses & Apartments For Rent: Assist in finding affordable housing and apartments.
- Home Share American River: Housemate matching service for renters and landlords.
