SMUD Charge@Home incentive

ALERT: Effective May 1, 2023, rebates for installation services only will be processed through a contractor on the SMUD Contractor Network. If you’ve purchased an EV charger and/or circuit sharing device, you will still apply for the rebate through the SMUD application (Option A below).

With the SMUD Charge@Home program, rebates are available for both EV charging equipment and/or electric circuit installation costs. Depending on where you are in the process of installing charging equipment at your home, find the option that meets your needs. Links to additional information on qualifying equipment and program terms and conditions listed below.

Select one of the following options:

  • [Option A] : I’ve already purchased a qualifying EV charger or qualifying circuit sharing device or had an electric circuit for an EV charger installed and I’m ready for my rebate.
  • [Option B] : I need to hire an electrician to install my EV changing circuit or circuit sharing device. The electrician will help with your EV charging equipment needs and will process your rebate.
  • [Option C] : I’m an Energy Assistance Program Rate (EAPR) customer and want to learn about special EV charger and electric circuit installation rebates.
