Energy Summit 

We're excited to announce a new name for the Youth Energy Summit (YES): Emerging Leaders Energy Summit.

This Summit is more than a event; it's a launch pad for leadership, fresh ideas and real impact. It was designed to empower young changemakers like you with the knowledge and tools to tackle sustainability challenges and help build a brighter future.

This year's theme, Fueling the Future: Where Food Meets Energy, digs into how sustainable practices in food and energy connect.

Through the Summit, we want to lift up your voice and actions to create cleaner, healthier and stronger communities.

New this year, the Summit is open to junior and senior high school students and post-secondary students in Sacramento county. Participants attend three days of learning to understand the year's theme, then spend the next couple of months choosing and executing their own community service project.

During their three-day exploration, participants will:

• Connect with industry professionals in renewable energy, agriculture and sustainability.
• Discover how food systems and clean energy intersect.
• Work in teams to develop a community service project focused on energy or food sustainability.
• Present your project at the Energy Summit Project Presentation in early January 2026. Winners will
  receive a $2,000 scholarship.
