Battery storage, where world-class reliability meets world-class sustainability

SMUD’s 2030 zero carbon goal is the most aggressive carbon reduction goal of any large utility in the country, and new solar, storage, wind, hydro power and other renewable energy sources play a foundational role in helping us reach our goal.

In this episode of our Road to Zero series, meet Director of Resource Strategy Bryan Swann and Manager of New Business Development James Frasher. They highlight SMUD’s progress and development with our residential battery storage program and utility-scale battery storage efforts. Battery storage is starting to come to the forefront in our industry and it will play a larger role in our transition to a clean energy future.
