SMUD partners with California State Parks to sponsor 7th annual electricity fair

Free, family-focused event at the Folsom Powerhouse State Historic Park 

SMUD is partnering with California State Parks to present the seventh annual Electricity Fair at the Folsom Powerhouse State Historic Park to educate the community about local renewable power resources.

The fair will feature electromagnetic experiments with Mr. Electricity, interactive science and art projects, an educational scavenger hunt for kids, tours of the powerhouse, an electric vehicle exhibit, music, face painting, prizes and much more. New this year, parents will be able to test-drive the latest electric vehicles as part of National Drive Electric Week. Tesla, BMW, Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Mini, Kia and Chevy will have vehicles available for the ride and drive. Admission is free and ice cream is provided to those who test drive.
