SMUD hosts Back-to-School Launch Party at Aerospace Museum of California

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento-area teachers, homeschool educators and other instructors will ring in the new school year at a launch party hosted by SMUD, the Sacramento County Office of Education and the Aerospace Museum of California.

Teachers will participate in hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) activities, and receive curriculum ideas and take-away activities for their students related to STEM careers in aviation, space, technology and energy. They will also enjoy networking opportunities, refreshments, food, music, raffles and a year-long membership to the museum.

Local educational leaders including MOSAC, Sacramento Republic FC, Sacramento State, Human Bulb, Learn Fresh, Inspirame, Department of Water Resources and the California Association of Science Educators will be there to showcase their educational resources through hands-on activities and more.
