SMUD awards scholarships to student winners of its Charge Up Change video contest
SMUD announced five student winners of its Charge Up Change video competition, which was designed to encourage middle school students to research and learn about electric vehicles. The competition challenged middle school students to create a two-minute video about why electric vehicles are cool. The five winning submissions combined education, creativity and technology.
“We’re proud that the next generation is engaged and interested in learning about the future of clean cars and clean energy,” said SMUD’s Director of Sustainable Communities Jose Bodipo-Memba. “As future leaders, we’ll be in great hands as we transition to a carbon-free future.”
Winners will receive cash awards and a membership to the Sacramento Auto Museum.
