Electric Vehicle Rates

Electric vehicle owners can participate in a new Time-of-Day (TOD) rate.

On the TOD rate, when you use electricity is just as important as the amount of electricity you use. You pay different rates for electricity based on the time of day you use it. For example, rates are highest during weekdays in the summer from 4 to 7 p.m.

For plug-in electric vehicle owners, there is an additional 1.5¢ per kWh credit for charging your EV between midnight and 6 a.m. every day, all year long. That means during those hours, the price for all your household electricity is only 7.16¢ per kWh.

Customers already on an electric vehicle pricing plan may wish to view the pricing plans and schedule for comparison. These pricing plans are closed to new enrollees, but the Time-of-Day with EV discount rate is currently available to everyone.

Whole House Plan charging rate

Electric vehicle owners who enrolled prior to 2016 could elect to be on the Whole House Plan charging rate. That plan is not available to those enrolling in a charging plan after Dec. 31, 2015.
