Do you have an uncashed check from SMUD?
See the names of customers who have uncashed SMUD checks dated Sept. 30, 2020 or earlier. If your name or the name of a family member is on the list, we encourage you to follow up before 5 PM on Dec. 18, 2023 to claim the money.
To make a claim, call 1-916-732-7440 and give the claimant’s name, current address, telephone number and the address for the time period Oct. 1, 2019 to Sept. 30, 2020.

Replacement checks will be issued only to the payee or upon proof of death to the payee’s beneficiary. The claimant’s name must be included on this list of unclaimed checks or they do not have a valid claim. Checks listed and not claimed by Dec. 18, 2023 become SMUD property under California Code Section 50050-50057.
