2022-2023 proposed rate changes

SMUD is proposing changes to our rates, including an increase in rates in 2022 and 2023 and a new Solar and Storage Rate for customers that add onsite generation, such as rooftop solar.

SMUD Cares 

Through our employee giving and volunteer program, we raise money for a variety of nonprofits and lend a helping hand to those in need. In the past 5 years, employees have personally donated over $2.2 million and just last year gave 16,763 volunteer hours to organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army and the Sacramento Children’s Home.
