We partner with the Sacramento Tree Foundation to give you free shade trees that cool your home from the summer heat, beautify your neighborhood and help improve the air quality in our community. SMUD means business

We're proud to partner with innovative leaders like the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Sacramento. By helping them assess their energy usage, we're able to extend the good they do in our community.

'SEEKing' future engineers

SMUD is proud to be a partner in the Summer Engineering Experience for
Kids (SEEK) Program.

The 3 week program teaches elementary students basic engineering concepts in hopes of inspiring them to pursue careers as engineers. Most of the students are from disadvantaged communities. SEEK is a partnership between the National Society of Black Engineers, the Sacramento Promise Zone, local school districts and community partners like SMUD.
