Free commercial workshops to help reach the zero carbon goal
Megan Cordes is SMUD’s new Commercial and Industrial Specialist. Megan will be working closely with SMUD teams serving commercial customers to identify and promote new technologies and services that will both benefit local businesses and help us meet our zero carbon and efficiency goals. One of her major responsibilities will be delivering the free commercial workshops we offer our customers, taught by experts from across the country, and focusing on topics like electrification, Title 24 and building energy efficiency and decarbonization strategies.
Prior to SMUD, Megan was with ConSol where she was the lead technical consultant to the California Building Industry Association (CBIA) on building codes and standards. She has also worked for the California Energy Commission and SunPower. She has an extensive background in energy policy and building science and has worked with builders, government agencies, utilities, and other industry stakeholders to promote and execute energy efficiency and renewable projects and programs throughout her career.
