Whether you're new to SMUD or a long-time customer-owner, here's the information you need to get service, change service, report a problem or take advantage of our many programs and services.

Programs and services
As a SMUD residential customer, you can tap into a variety of services and programs.
- CFL: CFLs are good for the environment - but don't forget to recycle old bulbs.
- Rates: residential electric rates, comparisons to other utilities and links to other SMUD rates.
- Saving Energy: online home energy analysis, conservation tips, rebates and promotions, Peak Corps, shade trees, Advantage Homes, SolarSmart New Homes, and more.
- Services for Your Home: Greenergy®, Power Protection Service, HomePowerSM,third-party notification, Medical Equipment Discount Rate, tree trimming and wood chips.
- Payment Options: low-income programs, electronic funds transfer, pay station locations, information on reading your meter and bill and links to online account services.
- Energy Help: The EnergyHELP program is a way to provide help with the electric bills to people who need it most. Your tax-deductible donation will help.
- Real Estate Services: Get information on real estate issues concerning your property and or SMUD property.
