refrigerator SMUD has promotions and rebates to help our customers save energy and money. SMUD buys down the cost of electric appliances and products to encourage energy efficiency. That in turn saves our natural resources. In addition, we have financing available at affordable rates.

Tax advantages: Congress passed a bill that includes key tax credits and deductions available to homeowners and businesses that purchase energy-efficiency appliances and renewable energy equipment. The incentives were favored by SMUD and the American Public Power Association. More

Financing

SMUD offers financing at a fixed interest rate. Presently, the rate is 8.50 percent. Interest rates are subject to change. For current rates, call 1-916-732-5472.

Bringing home the energy savings

The little blue ENERGY STAR box known for quality and energy efficiency can now be found on your favorite electronic products. SMUD has joined select manufacturers and local retailers to bring the highest-efficiency TVs, computers and monitors to the market.
