Power Protection -- Protect all your electronics and appliances from power surges -- with help from SMUD.
Online Energy Audits -- Complete one of our quick energy-profile tools and get information on savings tailored specifically for your home or business.
Workshops and seminars -- We offer free or low-cost courses include lighting, HVAC, architecture, environmental compliance & pollution prevention, commercial and industrial processes/productivity improvement, power quality.
Rebates and financing -- We have rebates and financing on electric appliances and products that encourage energy efficiency and help you save energy and money.
Residential Cool Roof -- Save an average of 20 percent on future air conditioning costs with our innovative Cool Roof program.

Tree trimming -- As part of our effort to improve service reliability, we have an aggressive tree-trimming effort that has dramatically reduced power outages.
Free wood chips -- Free wood chips are available for SMUD customers to use as mulch around their trees and shrubs.

Payment options -- We offer several options for paying your bill. Find out how to pay online, through the mail, on the phone, in person, through electronic funds transfer or at a pay station.
Electronic funds transfer -- Make electric bill and energy efficiency payments automatically from your checking or savings account.
Budget billing -- Set up a payment plan based on your typical bill amount.
Energy Assistance Program -- The Energy Assistance Program offers eligible low-income customers a discount of more than 30 percent on their entire electric bill every month.
Medical Equipment Discount -- Monthly discount for households that require use of a medical equipment device.
Senior citizen/third party notification -- A program that provides for special notifications to prevent unnecessary service interruptions because of late payments. Call 1-888-742-SMUD (7683) or e-mail customerservices@smud.org.
