Opt-in to SMUD's Greenergy® for a cleaner environment
SMUD offers businesses an easy, affordable way to support renewable energy and be recognized for your commitment to the environment. Almost 2,000 local businesses have joined SMUD's Greenergy program to support renewable energy projects and to help make a difference in our region.
To date, partnerships with both our residential and business customers have enabled us to build three wind turbines at the Solano Wind Farm and rebuild the Slab Creek dam on the Upper American River. Continued support of the program will help us build more local, renewable energy sources for everyone.
Make a difference today by choosing the level of participation that meets your business needs.
Solano Wind facility provides the cleanest electricity of all the Greenergy projects. Greenergy participants contributed to the development of three 660 KW wind turbines located in the windy Delta in Solano County.
Slab Creek is a small hydro generation facility located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada at Slab Creek Reservoir. Slab Creek is a unique facility that generates up to 400 KW from its discharge into the South Fork of the American River.
