SMUD Powering Futures scholarship program application deadline extended to June 23
The application deadline for SMUD’s Powering Futures college scholarship program has been extended to Friday, June 23.
The program awards up to 21 scholarships of up to $5,000 each to undergraduate students who are enrolled or plan to enroll in an accredited two- or four-year college or university. Students must live in SMUD’s service area or have a legal guardian who is a SMUD customer.
The awards are based on academic merit and financial need, and preference will be given to students who have declared a major relevant to SMUD. The financial awards will also include the opportunity to work as a paid intern at SMUD in 2017 or 2018. Scholarships are for the 2017/2018 academic year.
