Easement Information: To request information regarding a SMUD easement Click here.  

Easement Abandonments and Quit Claims: To request an abandonment or quit claim of a SMUD easement submit either of the forms below:

Consent to Common Use of Transmission Line Right-of-Way Program:  Request permission to encroach (develop) in a SMUD ELECTRIC or GAS TRANSMISSION easement for improvements, including landscaping, paving, fences, storage sheds, signs, etc.

Leasing, licensing and permitting of SMUD property: On a case-by-case basis, SMUD will consider the lease, license or permit of SMUD lands for purposes such as parking, landscaping, commercial uses, agricultural and temporary uses so long as the use does not interfere with SMUD operations or the health and safety of the public.

Licensing of SMUD Property for Wireless Sites: SMUD encourages companies to inform us of their interest in installing cellular equipment on SMUD-owned property. We can be reached at (916) 732-5411.
