SMUD offers an energy tracking tool to help you monitor your facility's energy use and control your energy costs:

Energy Profiler OnlineTM provides on-line access to your electricity usage information and is updated every 24 hours.
View your facility's energy usage by month, week, day, or hour.

Avoid expensive peak usage

Determine the critical times of the day you need to reduce usage so you can operate the least amount of electric load during the most expensive peak energy periods.

Discover problems quickly

A daily check of your load profiles can help you spot problems before they become expensive. Bad time clocks or runaway chillers can eat up your energy budget if left unchecked. By monitoring your use, you can spot spikes in your usage quickly and prevent costly mistakes.

Estimate your energy costs

Energy Profiler OnlineTM allows you to estimate your energy costs during a given time period. This helps you budget ahead for your bill.

Requirements for participation

Your site will need a modem, a dedicated phone line and qualified electric meter. Talk to your SMUD account representative to see what it takes to participate, or call 1-877-622-SMUD (7683).
