Title 24 interior lighting

$0.06/kWh
Up to 20% of project cost or $50,000, whichever is less.

The higher incentive is designed for interior lighting covered by Title 24. The installed lighting load must exceed Title 24 requirements by 10 percent to qualify for an incentive of $.06 per kilowatt-hour. If the existing lighting does not meet current Title 24 requirements, the incentive will be calculated using Title 24 State Energy Code allowances as the baseline. If the existing lighting system already exceeds Title 24 requirements, the existing wattage will be used as the baseline.


Non-Title 24 and exterior lighting 

$0.04/kWh
Up to 20% of project cost or $50,000, whichever is less.

Exterior lighting and lighting not covered by Title 24 will be incented at $.04 per kilowatt-hour. For this incentive, the existing wattage will be used as the baseline.


Examples of eligible measures 

Illustrative (not a comprehensive) list of qualifying efficiency measures

  • Interior and exterior lighting retrofits (excluding screw-in compact fluorescent lamps)
  • Other lighting systems such as HID and T5 lamps and fixtures
  • Lighting control systems
  • LED traffic lights
  • Day lighting systems and dimmable ballast
  • De-lamping measures performed as part of an integral lighting efficiency upgrade


Prescriptive lighting incentives for small businesses

Maximum incentive: $20,000 per customer location

Available for small commercial customers with total load of 300 kilowatts or less. More.

Exterior off-peak lighting is not eligible.


T12 retirement incentives for larger businesses

Maximum incentive: 50% of project cost or up to $150,000 per affected account

Available for commercial customers using 300 kW or more. More.
