Optimization of residential photovoltaic systems
Purpose
The contractor, AstroPower, will develop a new PV module/laminate and associated mounting and wiring system. Also, the program involves developing an improved power conditioning unit and an advanced, low-cost PV monitoring system. (Project 3.5)
Potential benefit
Improved system performance and reduced system cost, along with greater system aesthetics, functionality and usability.
Scope of work
- Develop an optimized, packaged system tailored to the California residential market.
- Emphasizing a system design intended to be more readily acceptable by customers.
