Laminate and batten roofing
Purpose
To develop and test an improved design for UNI-SOLAR PV roofing system using peel-and-stick amorphous PV, which can be applied to any new or existing roof on a solid under-structure. (Project 3.1)
Potential benefit
This project is expected to greatly reduce the system cost and the time required for installation.
Scope of work
- Design hardware and installation methods to greatly reduce costs, using battens, eave roller and end termination methods.
- Demonstrate the product in field trials, monitored to validate the ease of installation.
- Design and build a manufacturing line and begin production achieving further cost-reduction through high-volume manufacturing.
