Purpose
The Solar Electric Power Association will provide SMUD with technical and market assistance for its PV programs. Options will be developed for solar energy market expansion in the SMUD area and California. (Project 1.2)
Potential benefit
Improve existing solar programs to help SMUD increase the market penetration rates for PV. Develop results that can be used statewide by other electric utilities and private-sector companies.
Scope of work
- Establish R&D Commercialization Task Force.
- Evaluate SMUD's PV programs and projects.
- Report on market expansion options for solar energy in the SMUD region.
