Technology assessment for advanced biomass power generation
Purpose
Contractor UC Davis will evaluate promising new biomass power-generation systems, including environmental performance and market potential for the Sacramento area. (Project 1.1)
Potential benefit
Identify advanced biomass generation technologies and perform work that may lead to their use in the SMUD service area.
Scope of work
- Document performance and equipment design.
- Estimate environmental impacts.
- Select systems and perform engineering and economic assessments.
