Prescriptive Lighting Program
for Small Businesses

Reduce your bill with energy efficient lighting

Interior lighting can account for up to 40 percent of your electric bill. By replacing inefficient lamps with new, energy efficient technology, you can reduce your lighting load by up to 75 percent.

SMUD will pay for a significant portion of the materials by rebating the contractor directly. You'll use less energy and save money on your monthly electric bills.

Let SMUD pay a portion of the cost

SMUD rebates lighting contractors for SMUD-approved lighting projects based on a pre-set estimated average price. You pay your contractor the balance of the project cost after SMUD contractor rebates have been applied. SMUD also offers low-interest financing upon approval.

Who's eligible?

Funding for this program is available on a first-come, first-served basis for a limited time and is available only to customers whose account size is 300 kilowatts or less per location.
