Customized incentives for HVAC systems and controls

Maximum incentive: 30 percent of project cost OR $50,0000 per account, whichever is less.

• Available for equipment 20 tons or more that exceeds Title 24 equipment standards.
  
• Incentive = $.14/kWh or $400/kW
  
• Variable frequency drives, energy management systems = $0.14/kWh
  

HVAC under 20 tons

SMUD pays energy efficiency incentives directly to manufacturers and distributors to encourage warehouse stocking and marketing of qualifying energy efficient packaged and split system HVAC units (less than 20 tons). This incentive strategy is designed to make high efficiency HVAC equipment more available and cost effective for SMUD customers.
